CADER’s High Education Diploma "ICT in Education"
Overview The high education diploma program "ICT in Education" is the first of its kind in Jordan and the Arab world offered by CADER through INHOLLAND University/The Netherlands Delft University of Technology/The Netherlands and Yarmouk University/Jordan, in a unique collaboration between the educational and technological sectors to enable teachers to utilize the information and communication technology in the classroom and integrate it with modern pedagogies in order to achieve the most effective results. CADER's high education diploma was locally designed, developed and is currently implemented by CADER in Jordan. It is a one-year-post graduate program that can be followed after the attainment of the Bachelor Degree in any major. The program aims at developing and advancing the capabilities of educators to effectively integrate information and communication technology (ICT) into their practices. It is based on the provision of theory and practice for the trainees in addition to guidance and support for in-classroom implementation of the acquired knowledge. The program trains teachers to experience and explore broader horizons within the framework of their work to enrich their creativeness and innovativeness. It is certified by both INHOLLAND University and Yarmouk University. The HED was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education in July 2004 as the first accredited high education diploma for training of in-service teachers under the name of “ICT in Education” diploma in the Arab World.
