ChangeAgent for Arab Development and Education Reform (CADER) successfully concluded the training programme "Activating Student Councils and Parliaments and Parents Teachers Associations (PTAs)" on Thursday, Feb 18, 2010. The programme aims at empowering a core team of 25 trainers from the Ministry of Education by means of developing their personal, training, and facilitation competences. The team undertakes activating Student Councils and Parliaments and PTAs in school life, and is required to train different teams at different directorates to carry on the very same objective. The six-day training programme aimed at creating communities of learning and practice among the participants. The programme also includes an on-site support for trainers during the phase of training other colleagues from the different education directorates. The programme was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, represented by Dr. Zainab Al Shawabkeh, and UNICEF, represented by Jumana Haj Ahmed, Adolescent Specialist.
